Most gay rom coms are borederline embarrasing but most fall into the brilliant, take ''...Priscilla'' or even ''To Wong Foo..''. All good but none really centred on relationships like BearCity does.
Yes there are a few cliched characters but its not like none of us havent got friends who are going through tough times or wanting something that isnt socially acceptable to others. This film has laughter, tears and some real situations and is actually kind of raunchy, the attempted 3way scene is just hilarious.
But underneath it all it has a lot of heart which is why this film succeeds.
