Review of Bean (1997) by Russell G — 27 Nov 2011
Rowan Atkinson as Bean is a very physical, highly animated, and full of slapstick humor. For a character that says almost nothing he yields some good laughs and creates memorable funny scenes that remind me of the silent movie comedy pioneers.
The plot may be a little thin but that is alright in this case, because the movie's success lies fully in the ridiculous situations Bean ends up in and the Physical humor of Atkinson. It even ends with a upbeat, feel good "moral of the story" moment which can not help but make you smile.
