Review of Bean (1997) by Kevin D — 05 Oct 2009
As a vehicle for Atkinson to show off his fantastically ugly mug, it succeeds. All other aspects of the movie tend, at best, to suffice; MacNicol deserves better than his role as a put-upon square, playing the straight man to Bean, but it would be a worse disservice had he distracted the audience from gazing raptly upon Bean's hilariously woeful physiognomy.
