Review of Beaches (1988) by Catherine C — 23 Apr 2009

Very disappointing because this film is considered to be the ultimate chick flick, so as a female my expectations were quite high as I sat down to watch this one. But unfortunately I didn't like the film at all..

I found the film strangely unconvincing - I was never able to get lost in it and throughout its run I was always very aware that I was watching a movie.

I found Bette Midler especially irritating too.
