I'm a huge fan of "Get Shorty" and was really looking forward to the sequel. I would have thought keeping much of the same cast plus adding Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, and Cedric the Entertainer, Harvey Keitel, and The Rock would be a plus.
These additions didn't make up for losing Rene Russo, Gene Hackman, James Gandolfini, and especially Dennis Farina. I don't know why this movie didn't work for me. I'd blame the new director and screenwriter, or maybe I'd just built this movie up to much in my mind before I saw it.
