I don't understand why all the negative ratings. Its not going to be a summer block buster but it's still pretty good. It has some corniness but not enough to make it stupid and it has some funny moments.

Now some may say they are just lifeguards, why are they investigating murders and crimes and I actually agree with that, but at the same time, did you watch the show from the 80's or read about it or something?? It's basically what the show did. This movie poked some fun at it and wasn't too silly.
