Review of Baywatch (2017) by Dana H — 29 May 2017

I truly feel that if you go into this movie without any real expectations, you can have fun with its goofy premise. While I do feel there are better comedies out there, I think this one had moments I really enjoyed.

I actually felt the movie could have used more comedy because a good number of the jokes were actually pretty funny. Some of the action scenes do end up being over the top and ridiculous, but again that really is the point of the whole thing.

I think the characters have good chemistry and the actors are clearly having a great time making the movie. There is one storyline in the movie that I felt could have been handled better because it had potential to be something deeper, but it ends up just being in the movie when the plot demands it.

I think this is a self-aware movie that at the end of the day you can watch and have a good laugh. If you're a fan of raunchy comedies, there are certainly worse than this one.
