Review of Baywatch (2017) by Scraper — 24 May 2017
Early Oscar front runner Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson pounds the shoreline with enough verve and vigor of a jacked-up Marlon Brando ready to rip our expectations to shreds. Baywatch has enough skin to cure a burn ward and enough side-breast to feed China's young for a millennium.
What I love, really love though, is how I'm not tired whatsoever of constant rehashes of 90s trash and the movie industry's endless quest to solve the question "What is this superhero like in real life?" Baywatch, or B-dub as I call it, gives us the best of both worlds: crap and nostalgia.
