A hodge-podge of everything that's best about BG - tight dialogue, existential significance, brutal action and the philosophy of war. Sadly, it just doesn't meld, and is frequently disappointing compared to the glorious highs of Series 1.
That said, it's still the worst of the best and essential viewing for fans.
