Review of Battlestar Galactica (1978) by Dan H — 26 Jun 2007
"Battlestar Galactica" the movie was great. It set up the series in a great way. I think "Battlestar Galactica" might mean more today, after 9/11. I think that ABC & Universal wanted a "Star Wars" for themselves, but BSG is much more.
Glen A. Larson created his true "Star Wars" rip off with the horrible "Buck Rogers." BSG was much more. It had fantastic acting, great stories, and potential for much more, until it was canceled by ABC and revived as the horrible "Galactica 1980.
" Ron Moore's BSG is what the original BSG should of been. I love the new series better, but the original BSG is still a classic series and movie to me.
