Montage: the young, aspiring filmakers favourite ingredient in making a compelling art film. It's easy to do montage and seem 'genius', but t's hard to do montage and BE genius. Eisentein is undoubtedly the later and this is truly a breathtaking piece of cinema.
The imagery is tight, compact and meaningful. There's really nothing I can say about this film that hasn't already been said.
