Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Giffy G — 19 Jan 2008
I saw this movie nine years ago, before it was restored and matched up with its German (semi-original) score. And, now that I've seen this version, wow. It was definitely enjoyable, and it got me all riled up (just like it was supposed ta).
The movie was, in its own terms, a call to action, and it lacked a pragmatic "what to do" component other than "revolt". Still, great movie, great camera work, and marvelous editing.
