Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Anne F — 18 May 2009
This film is completely unlike any other film I've watched from the same period. The way Eisenstein put it together, and the scenes he films are quite extraordinary. I very much liked those aspects of the film rather than the story itself, which as you'd expect was heavy-handedly pro-Bolshevik, anti-Czarist with not much else as a theme.
