Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Frankie P — 04 Jul 2009

I haven't watched many movies from this time period, but I'm going to stick to my guns and review this from an enjoyment perspective. I'm not saying it wasn't a "technical masterpiece", but it didn't really challenge any of my beliefs nor did I enjoy it particularly (thank God it's a short film!).

I don't think it's fair to review a film on how it was received when it was made or "for it's time" because it leaves us with some very dodgy ratings and misleads people looking for a good watch TODAY! People from 80 years ago I'm afraid can't access this website, so, let's review movies for the people who can.
