Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Amanda C — 30 Oct 2010
There are some nice sequences throughout this film, the Odessa steps sequence is rightfully famous, but the film comes across as a tad hodge-podge. Individual sequences are brilliently edited, but a tad more attention needed to be payed to each individual frame in many instances.
Some type of flow between the sections would have been nice as well. However this film still holds up by way of the strength of the editing.
