Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by James O — 12 Oct 2011
Given its a silent movie its quite good. But this is the 21st century and I'm watching a silent movie. The times have changed. Two things noticeable. Firstly, the director was far happier to film ugly people than a modern day director would, which gives is a tinge of authenticity.
Secondly, we don't do carte blanche propaganda like they did back in the day. Ha, wow that is some unashamed nonsense and political grandstanding.
