Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Marco V — 03 Jan 2012
Just to put this way: A rebellion started for what I think, a bowl of soup! And worms, and fierce men that are mistreated from their majors, and that was their last straw; Rot Meat! Silent Cinema never brought a war-rebellion epic so intense presence and powerful imagery that almost seems allegoric and surreal as this one before, just doesn't feel like it belongs in this film, and still manages to work brilliantly, brilliantly, that's both imagery and sountrack.
It is a Masterpiece on its own. Images that will stay in my mind forever, a great inspiration. one of the old ones still shines as a aspiring thunder, munching for power!
