Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Andrew C. D — 30 Jan 2013
Battleship Potemkin isn't very entertaining but it does have one of the greatest scenes from early silent history (the massacre on the steps may be one of the greatest shot scenes I have ever seen in any movie).
Eisenstein uses a ton of propaganda and the story begins to drag towards its short 1 hour ending but Battleship Potemkin manages to make its point without being overly preachy.
