Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Parker M — 28 Nov 2010
I am not so much a fan of silent films, but this one has some strong attributes. First, the red flag in the middle of the black and white is fascinating. Second, the score is great. Third, the footage of the citizens from Odessa being attacked by the soldiers is shockingly incredible.
This silent film stands out from the others. Despite me not being a big of non-talkies, this may be worth a re-watch, just to see it a second time and I might possibly like it better.
