(2012) Battleship.
SCIENCE FICTION WAR.
Based on a board game of the same name consist of an idiot approach which has Alex Hopper played by Taylor Kitsch receiving a minor offense for stealing burritos just because a hot attractive blonde girl was hungry and that the bar didn't want to serve her any food- I mean there's always somewhere else. For breaking and entering a store and then for damages to the property, the judge gives him two choices- either serving out a sentence or to serve years in the army. He of course chooses serving and they put him in a "Battleship" and of course becomes better than his superiors. And then the aliens come and attack. At this time I pretty much fell asleep since it's as ridiculous as they come. And to those other people who really like it probably haven't seen as many alien invasion movies as much as I have. I mean one of the most ludicrous scenes I had ever seen consists of a very gigantic naval ship doing a 360 to avoid being fired upon is something that cannot be done in real life but with the obvious help from a friendly computer called CGI anything is possible. And yes, it has remnants of movies of "Independence Day" and "Armageddon" except this one is less exciting and less credible.
2 out of 4 stars.
