Review of Battlefield Earth (2000) by Brian C — 22 Apr 2009
Crapola I mean it in every sense of the definition. Had it out with my brother who actually liked it but am not sure now weather he was just stirring me up.
The inferior dominant alien beings so dreadfully inferior to thier supposed position of intelligence (cant be all just the learning for the 'smarts' of a race although the intelligence may have been stolen throughout thier conquests) it shows.
And the inferior Earthlings so far far to advanced for the straggling remmanents of a race of all but a few cave dwellers, completly wiped out a thousand years ago - extinct.
It had a surge of notable action mid-way when the raising of a revolt sparks interest but thwarted with the reality of humans that should not be able to string sentences together let alone advance strategy and mater equipment that would be cumbersome a task for today`s average intelligent person.
Costumes : bulky and awkward.
Sets : good very good.
Plot and dialog : drivel.
Screenplay : excellent photography and shots in set but not with the story at all.
Characters : All the main character played atrocious parts and had worse scripts but to note there was a contingent of extras and obvious behind the scenes crew that held it together to at least a B grade level albeit a discreditable one.
