Review of Battlefield Earth (2000) by Jay H — 06 May 2010
I had decide to redo my review on this film Battlefield earth I agree this film is terrible everything about it is bad I mean came on they didn?t even try to make an alien civilization they look like humans just really fucked up versions of us but I really could not stop laughing when John Travolta opened his mouth he tries to be a serious but he fails big time.
I have read the book a long time and I thought the book was okay it was very long but good and I heard about the movie and I thought okay that would be cool but it was fucking horrible the film just made be laugh none stop that?s why its one of my favorite comedy?s ever!
The movie is set in the year 3000 after the Psyclo invasion of the year 2000 all the reaming humans are hunted down and used as gold miners okay story idea it just failed and made me laugh none stop the book on the other hand the story was amazing or epic.
The acting was nothing special Forest withaker was really the only person putting on a strong performance the others the acting was just very average not terrible like some people in this movie.
The visual effects were extremely poor it just made me say that so funny to look at it was poor along with a lot of other stuff.
Overall it?s an amazing comedy and it?s highly not recommended I have only given it a 60% any higher people would think your a scientologist. And people I have seen much worse this film is just so funny.
