Review of Battlefield Earth (2000) by Mickael M — 19 Aug 2010

BATTLEFIELD EARTH is this centry's first ture worst film in fact ten years later one of the screen writers recenlty apologised for this total balls up, his excuse he was trying to seduce a sicentology woman by adpating L.Ron.Hubbard's story for the big screen. Im sorry just because you wanted to get layed by a scientology chick IT still dosen't not mean you should script something this bad ,ok its not that bad tust me ive seen films that are miles worse like MANOS:THE HANDS OF FATE and the true worst movie ever made MONSTER A GO-GO but still this film is just a few points above these two films.

So were to begin , I just keep it short bad , bad , bad writing with a dozen things that contradict every single estabished plot point film like mankind in the year 2000 only put up a nine minute fight aginst the psyclos but 1000 years later primitve humans can fly Harrier jump jets, use guns, arm nuclear bombs and sucessfuly deafet the alien invaders ...... WHAT THE FUCK WERE THE SCREEN WRITERS THINKING !!!! oh wait one wanted to get a blow job from some scientology woman so wirte some shit and get some lovin in return. God, anyway bad split bar wipes , piss poor direction ,each frame of the film on a tilt that begs the question was the camrea man on something while filming and travolta's werid acting as Terl who says "every WORD in EACH senatce WITH a RASE in TONE with EVERY second WORD" is both funny and anoying.

Final thoughts: Now I have heard some refering to this as the 'WORST SCI-FI FILM EVER" in my view there are films in the genre that are worst than this ;LASERBLAST anyone? Im just applaled that something this pathetic was made for the sake of sexual intercourse with some fucken sicentology woman. At least the brilliant minds of THE GOLDEN RASBERRY AWRADS gave this so many RAZZIES it actually won the same amount of RAZZIES as SHOWGRILS did. Infact at the Razzie award cermony in 2001 they constaly reffered to this film as 'PLAN 9 FROM L.RON HUBBARD' or in my view Plan 9 from the church of scientology. overall rating 20%.
