Review of Battlefield Earth (2000) by Cameron R — 20 Jun 2011

It wasn't boring or really too painful to watch. I thought it was better than Waterworld but the ending just sucked (I mean so did the rest of the movie but the end in particular). I missed some parts of it, so I didn't really make the connection of this and scientology but it was the cammera angles that really got into my head... If you like looking at movies sideways then this is the movie for you!

I pretty much blame this all on Roger Christian. It's nearly impossible to get guys like Travolta, Pepper and Whitaker to act this bad and his feedback on the cinematography was a constant, " looks great, but can we get that tilt the camera 45 degrees?" His vision of a future world was just damn ugly.

I say watch it just to say you've seen it haha!
