The story of a heroic helicopter rescue team during the Korean War with Sterling Hayden as their commander. Corny and cliched (with a healthy dose of stock footage to boot), this film is and awfully bland war film.
Hayden makes it watchable though. For a superior Korean War film about pilots and rescue crews, watch "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" instead.
