Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Stefan K — 07 Jul 2012
Get the feeling the director wanted to make sure all the characters from the book were in the movie, but didn't want to include more than a couple of back stories....so you end up with a lot of kills, but not many you are moved by.
Wanted to like this over the Hunger Games, but this is not a superior movie (don't know which is the better book). Found it amusing that the two transfer students looked like the two Anime versions of the Man with No Name.
