Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Malvin L — 20 Aug 2012
While it may start off conceptually as being ridiculous, its originality is bound to engage. Its power and essence becomes apparent once your mind plays through the dilemmatic scenarios, accepting extreme measures as natural courses of action.
Despite the mixed, somewhat mediocre cast, it delivers a rather unique experience with some decent raw action scenes and a little twist in the end. Considered as one of the must-see Japanese films, it is well worth a watch.
