Review of Battle of the Sexes (2017) by Inconvenient F — 26 Jan 2018

Brilliant film. I would give it 100%. Relations between the sexes have been troubled and conflicted since civilisation began and they are even more contentious in our time. This film goes to the heart of the issue and it does so with wit and passion.

The acting is first class and it brings all the characters and their interactions to life, even if some of them are larger than life (as in fact they were). The script and direction are also first class, so that the story grips us and entertains us from start to finish.

I rate this the Best Film of 2017, despite strong competition from the likes of Dunkirk and The Death of Stalin.
