Truly a very enjoyable and well-shot sports drama based on the true story of History-maker Billie Jean King, "Battle of the Sexes" explores very important subjects such as discrimination, feminism and LGBTQ relationships with a spectacular picture and an epic performance from Emma Stone (the best of her career so far, maybe?).
The conclusion it comes to ("One day [...] we'll love who we want to love, but for now, we'll just join the dance") is heartfelt and thought-provoking. Emotional, factual, funny, and suitable for its 2-hours running-time, the whole film was very enjoyable.
