Should have been a good movie, but it got sidelined by a weak script and lackluster direction. Beware: the trailer makes it look like great fun. Not true. They trot out Bobby Riggs (Steve Carrell) for comedy relief when the movie begins to slog along and get mired in King's sexual encounters.
Bill Jean deserved better than this.
