A total Surprise! This was a potentially one dimensional story, but the writers and casting have created a true gem. Even for those of us who watched the famous tennis match live, this movie adds a human side to the story and one that still resonates today.
Emma Stone is superb as Billie Jean King,,, and Steve Carrell once again proves that he has some serious acting chops.
