Review of Battle of Britain (1969) by William — 23 Jul 2008
I like this movie, even though it is an older movie. It's about the air battle over Britain during WWII and the cost, it took, to win that battle. This is the only acknowledgement, other than a statue in England, that Air Marshal Dowding received for his fight against the old crowny thinking, of the government of the day, to get Radar and an early warning system installed, in England, to early warn against German air attacks.
The English government faught him tooth and nail against the system, but if it wasn't for his persistance, England would be speaking German right now and possibly other countries. I like this film and highly recommend it!
