Review of Battle: Los Angeles (2011) by Mike P — 04 Jun 2014
This movie can eat dog poop because, it is a boring action movie, a war movie, and an alien invasion. The story is nothing to run home to, Aliens invade earth, Humans have to defend it. The characters exist only to do action stuff, they rush the characterization to the military dudes and gal trying to get us to care but, it doesn't work and I totally forgot there names.
The critics praise the CGI but, me I don't like the CGI because, it looks like play station 2 graphics. The action scenes are tedious, repetitive, and boring. the shaky cam is crazy in this film, Lukas Ettlin's cinematography is shaky beyond belief, can't he keep the camera still? The aliens are stupid looking, unimaginative, and they have no eyes.
I like how we don't see rip body parts or gun shots on innocent civilians and military peoples because, this movie is rated PG-13. did you know this movie was shot in Louisana and not in Los Angeles, the reason for that because, of financial advantages, I don't know they really could have work out some deal.
The aliens came to invade earth to steal are water, why? it doesn't explain why they want are water, why don't the aliens politely ask for it instead of being rude? you know sense the takes place in L.
A. and it has Hollywood there, what if instead of a generic alien invasion movie, what if it was a satire of it and it can play with Hollywood is running out of ideas, that will be interesting. The ending makes no sense because, are heroes find out where the command ship is, my question is how did the command ship get underground without any civilians knowing about it in the first place? second, the command ship gets blown away by one missile, which is dumb.
third and finally, the command ship doesn't have a shield to protect itself from any kind of weapons. the only positive thing I can about the film is Aaron Eckhart is really good which most peolpe have said this as well.
that is my review of Battle:Louisana, Skip it, no matter the coast!
