Review of Battle: Los Angeles (2011) by Adam O — 04 Jun 2012
Although people claim its the closet to a "Halo" movie after watching it there is no chance it has of even being rescued by the Master Chief. Battle L.A. though had the idea of making a alien war movie were as always with these typical movies we root for the underdog its setting and character plot are incredible predictable.
the setting is shaky and chaotic not more paced and approched as you would in movie like Flags of our Fathers or Apocolpyse Redux and developement with the charcters are not given enough time to feel for them or know them.
we see less of the aliens and more of the drama with the soldiers and too much on the ground fights with less show of the aerial attacks and motherships. even with the help of talented actors such as Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez it still flopped as bad as Halo ODST.
its worth watching if u love aliens and good time with family and friends but for entertainment wise being shot by Master Chief is funner then watching the sloppy drama and action of Battle L.A.
