After reading all the bad reviews by the critics I wasn't expecting much. Once again, I'm glad I didn't listen to the critics. At the very least this was a great action movie. The story isn't all the fresh (the ending reminded me of Independence Day too much) and the shaky cam was annoying at times.
However, I thought the characters and their interaction made what would've been a mindless action flick something to appreciate. The bond between the Marines kept me engaged and the action was just icing on the cake.
