Review of Battle: Los Angeles (2011) by Brad S — 20 Jun 2014
This is 80% guns and 20% bad acting. Los Angeles takes centre stage as the world is under attack by alien invaders who want to take all of our planets water. As characters the aliens actually have very little to do with the movie - the are simply in the movie to give the main characters something to shoot at.
The only suspense (and I use the word suspense very loosely) is how exactly will the devilish aliens be defeated. There really isn't any question that they will - I hope I'm not giving away some big secret here - but really that's the only question the movie poses.
The dialogue is almost comical and as much as I like Eckhart he really overacts in his action hero role. Not great movie by any type of standard.
