Battle: Los Angeles is incredibly poor. Its attempt too build characterisation fails immensely due to a generic bunch of marines with corny lines. The effects and battle sounds were okay but for the most part they ran around in the open like headless chickens, which made it a joke after a while.
It was a movie with little imagination, silly pep talks and fake emotions. The aliens were bland and although it painted a battlefield well, following around these marines made it extremely shallow.
