Review of Battle: Los Angeles (2011) by Teler — 18 Mar 2011
To anyone one that thinks the people who think this movie is a horrible pile of garbage are just incredibly jaded people who gave Avatar a 0 out of 10 just because they wanted to be different, you are wrong.
I liked a number of movies that didn't have great scripts and relied heavily on special effects, such as Transformers (the first that is). But this movie is a failure on every single front imaginable, the action is blurred and shaky camera is used incredibly liberally and in places that make no sense whatsoever, and when the isn't blurred you can see the aliens that are not in the slightest intimidating considering their slightness of build and who cannot seem to aim accurately despite the fact that they are partially cybernetic.
the script is absolutely horrible corny garbage that no one in their right mind should be able to take seriously. I walked into the movie theater hoping that this was another case of the critics being pretentious and irrationally contrarian, what I got to see was this steaming pile of garbage that deserves universal disdain, do not under any circumstances pay money to see this movie.
