Review of Battle in Heaven (2005) by Izrael R — 31 Jan 2011
I don't get how this movie is bashed by critics. Soderbergh essentially made the same film with less sex. This is basically the NC-17 rated mexican version of "Bubble." I think this film is well made, a bit off at points, but what is there works for what it is.
Not for everyone, it's sort of one of those films you watch before going to a festival to get yourself in the right mindset.
