Broomfield continues to surprise me (and this is not necessarily a good thing). I don't know what to think of this film... I should have an opinion and don't. my viewing of it was complicated by the fact that it was introduced by an Iraqi doctor who set up a clinic in Iraq only to be harassed by the US military.
the whole event reinforced the shame I feel about my country's machinations and the invasion of his... the war has killed a million people... but the film: what about this film? I don't know. i'll have to think about it.
the war and the excuses for it need to stop, but I don't know if this film will have any bearing. if not, then what is the point?
