Review of Battle for Haditha (2007) by Salwah A — 03 Apr 2008
Based on the fact that this is of a true account, I literally broke down like I never had, throughout the film. In this show, Broomfield succeeded in most ways Michael Moore couldn't . This shows all sides there are to a story, and the actors are real live U.
S soldiers. They definitely weren't A-star actors but that really added more depth and realism to the film. I'm still deeply affected by the incident, and how the Marines handled a loss of their own by murdering 24 other innocent men, women and children.
This must never happen again. If it wasn't for the Times Reporter, this would have not come to light. Imagine, how many secrets are still buried deep inside??
