Review of *batteries not included (1987) by Nathan Z — 16 Jul 2007
I have to admit, most of Spielberg's creations lose me at some point in the flick, but this one kept me completely interested. Faye was a completely interesting character, especially when she mistakes troublesome Carlos for her beloved son, Bobby.
The helpful little saucers give the movie an other wordly feel, but the drama going on with Lacey and his desire to destroy the apartment building brings it back down to Earth for a truly enjoyable movie that's still fun to watch 20 years later.
