Review of *batteries not included (1987) by Jenni L — 13 Jul 2007
This is a sickly sweet story of a building and it's emotionally sensitive residents. They want to save their building from the bullies and from demolition. They can't do it alone so they enlist the help of two little 'fixer' alien spaceships who act like people but ultimately just fix stuff. There are some very twee moments but then again that is what this film is all about. If you don't mind sickly sweet and want some clever spaceship effects as well as baby spaceships then this is some cool eighties film.
In one word: Sweet.
