Review of Batman: Year One (2011) by Daniel Kevin H — 12 Jul 2012
This movie deserves 5 stars, but is held back by the serious miscasting of Ben McKenzie as Batman. I'm not familiar with his other work, but in this movie his voice is robotic and flat throughout most of his performance, something I found distracting and jarring.
Ignoring that, this movie is pretty damn perfect. Wonderful script, beautiful animation, and an otherwise wonderful voice cast. The team at DCAU prove themselves incredible once again.
