Review of Batman: Year One (2011) by Spike V — 12 Jul 2012
This is quite possibly the greatest comic book adaptation to date! Warner is really hitting home-runs with this animated films, all I can say is Nolan Schmolan. I really can't come up with anything to complain and that's a tough one on a loudmouth like me, perfect animation, casting, adapted script... the result is an excellent Neo-Noir/Superhero film from which movies, animated and live-action, can take their cues from. PLUS it has a very nice back-up Catwoman short by Paul Dini, responsible of writing '92s Batman animated!
PS. If you think Batman; Year One by Miller/Mazzucchelli is a "graphic novel" you don't know anything about the medium of comic books...
