A strong adaptation of the original story, but one that feels needless and redundant. It's basically the same story as BATMAN BEGINS -- the differences hardly warrant this re-telling. And it suffers from terrible Frank Miller dialog.
That said, Bryan Cranston as Gordon is FANTASTIC.
