Review of Batman vs. Robin (2015) by Josh L — 25 Apr 2015
The title is kind of misleading because the movie isn't really Batman vs Robin and most Batman fans will realize that, but a casual audience will see that and think differently. The relationship between Bruce and his son Damian (introduced in Son of Batman) drives the film and is a welcome change of pace for the franchise, but everything else feels somewhat tacked on rather than an integral part of the plot.
The Court of the Owls seems like a really cool storyline watching the special features and should have gotten its own film instead of being shoehorned into this one. I will definitely be reading that graphic novel now.
Ultimately, it is still rather entertaining and the ending has me intrigued as to what they are going to do next. Hopefully there is another film to add onto this solid character arc they have given Damian Wayne.
