Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Phillip S — 22 Mar 2018
Probably the best DC movie so far, there are many reasons why this movie stands out from the best of Marvel movies and even the entire Dark Knight trilogy. First, the most highly underrated part of this movie was the fight scenes between Bats and Superman.
Most people stress that the fight between these two titans should be longer than ten minutes for an entire 3 hour movie based on the clash itself but the overlooked part was not the physical clashes but the clash of Batman's individualism ideology and Superman's being-a-god ideology throughout the plot that was manipulated by Lex Luthor.
For a movie with immersive moments, this is no doubt a great score on the side of script writing and the side of music scoring. If you notice closely, this movie is about Bats and Sups personal life at the start but builded up its plot with the evidence of meta humans which directly hinted at the JL movie but most important was the death of Superman as it had to be a symbol of a god-like protector now gone and the Earth is vulnerable to invaders.
