Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Cullen H — 20 Dec 2016
Let me start with great job to Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill making me love their character! Another great job to Zach Snyder with executing the film but from watching this film it felt I was watching The Hobbit(which is not good).
It's obvious the studio behind the production team forced them to make a lot of editing cuts by reducing time, focus on CGI for scenes that weren't needed, and making the build up to the climax so bland.
The movie should be called Batman meets Superman because the intro is the death of the Waynes, from there the plot centers its attention on Batman with a sprinkle of Superman. (SPOILER) Doomsday was so butchered and as a DC pleb I hated his design and the back story to Doomsday.
Fight scenes were very fun to watch but it didn't fix all the damages the editing cuts did. Overall, it's a fun ride with a great premise but a very short one with plot holes and cheesy execution(Introducing Wonderwomen being an example).
