Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Ssh83 — 13 Apr 2016
Pretty much everything you glimpsed from the trailer is exactly what you get. There is no surprises in the actual movie. Lex Luther is supposed to be the most refreshing villain in comic movie history because he always keeps his cool and is a perfect politician.
But Jesse Eisenberg being the 1 trick pony, turned him into the typical weird nerdy genius that is in just about every other comic movie. If you don't know about the missed opportunity, think Little Finger from Game of Throne, but even smarter and more powerful.
Every scene with Lex in this movie is a total disaster and the clash of ideology was watered down by the meddling. Another foolish thing is... they made batman have a anger tantrum... it's not just the trailer exaggerating.
Batman really has just a stupid anger tantrum as teenage-immature as in the trailer. just facepalm all over. It's a reimagining of batman... that turn into crap. Batman's only unique "super power" was his near perfect control, planning and life-experience over all others.
They took that away in this movie. This is especially important in Justice League situation. If every fricking character in Justice League is an emotional hot head who throws anger tantrum... well..
. it's going to turn into a sht mess and there is no longer character differences... just costume and power difference... that completely pales in comparison to why Marvel movies are good.
